The IAI ARAVA is a twin engine turboprop STOL (Short-Takeoff-landing) aircraft manufactured by Israel Aircraft Industries. This airplane is designed to operate in and out of very short length unpaved runways.
The IAI ARAVA is equipped with a dual Spectrum Aeromed MEDEVAC system. It’s capable to transfer in a same flight, either two adult patients in Intensive Care Units (ICU), or two babies in incubators. The aircraft has electric, vacuum and oxygen connections onboard to feed all medical equipment. Resuscitators and portable respirators integrate standard equipment.
In order to attend multiple MEDEVAC flights, the IAI ARAVA can be configured to accommodate simultaneously up to twelve patients in litters; its internal load capacity is more than 1,500 kilograms and has a wide cargo door section which allows carrying little operative vehicles.
In its executive version, the IAI ARAVA can accommodate up to sixteen passengers with their luggage./p>
The IAI ARAVAA of Aviacion Civil Salta receives regular maintenance at the Aeronautical Maintenance Facilities ACS (DNA 1B-358). It’s serial number is # 041 and is registered as LV-MHP.
